Black Mental Health Book Fair

Mental health conversations in Black communities are evolving—but access to culturally relevant resources remains a challenge. That’s where the Black Mental Health Book Fair (BMHBF) comes in.

This nationwide book fair is designed to make mental health education accessible, relatable, and empowering for Black children, teens, college students, and adults. Every book featured is written by a Black author addressing mental health, ensuring representation at every level. More than just a book fair, BMHBF is an interactive experience

BMHBF Features and Highlights:

  • Curated books sorted by identity and topic, ensuring people find stories that resonate with them.

  • Discussions and live talks from Black authors and licensed therapists.

  • Mental health goodie bags, including stress balls and social anxiety pins.

  • A "Pay It Forward" initiative, where adults can buy a book for a child in need.

And thanks to BetterHelp’s sponsorship, this initiative extends beyond book sales. While BetterHelp will provide resources and access to virtual therapy, we’re also prioritizing community-based mental health support—because mental health struggles don’t exist in isolation. Financial hardship, family dynamics, and systemic barriers all play a role, and we’re making sure attendees leave with real, accessible solutions.
